Available Facilities for Medicinal and Process Chemistry

The 6,000 sq ft EIDD chemistry suite includes 2,500 sq ft of open office space as well as a 3,500 sq ft laboratory suite that includes a main chemistry lab with 14 chemical fume hoods in an open lab environment.

An adjoining NMR room, a hydrogenation laboratory and an analytical equipment corridor complete the suite. For enhanced productivity, the chemistry group uses an integrated electronic notebook system for experimental design, data capture and intellectual property protection. The EIDD has also developed a separate, proprietary database for storing and managing all biological data generated on any new synthetic analogues. The main chemistry lab has all the glassware and hardware necessary to perform modern multi-step syntheses of drug-related substances including two automated chromatography instruments for compound purification.
